Ad landing pages: what should you check?
The page should follow through on the ad's promise and answer questions before purchase. The offer determines whether a product page or dedicated landing page fits better.
Keep the ad's promise clear
Customers should quickly understand the product, price, and reason to buy. If the ad offers a bundle, the page should show that bundle. A dedicated landing page can explain a complex offer; a strong product page may suit a direct purchase better. The homepage is not always the wrong destination, but it often adds an unnecessary step.
Review the path to purchase on mobile
- Check that the heading and price are easy to read.
- Show delivery, returns, and what the offer includes.
- Use real images and verifiable evidence.
- Check product variant selection and the purchase button.
- Complete checkout on a phone and look for unnecessary obstacles.
Measure the constraint before making changes
Low conversion can come from unsuitable traffic, the offer, or the page. Compare devices, products, and traffic sources, then design a test. Changing a button without diagnosing the problem does not explain why customers leave.
